What the LLM vendor sees of the company's personal data. off — requests leave as they are. shadow — requests are also sent to the in-cluster pii-guard service, which reports what it would replace; the request itself is unchanged. substitute — names, phones, e-mails, documents and card numbers are replaced by realistic surrogates before the request leaves the cluster and restored in the answer; an unreachable service fails the run instead of sending real data.
